Your role

We are looking for a Project Engineer for the Engineering team, who will report to the Technical Manager at the Castelgomberto plant. In this role, you will be responsible for managing CAPEX plant projects to ensure they deliver specified quality and capacity, safely, hygienically, and with minimal environmental impact. This role is key to driving innovation and operational excellence, from concept (CAPEX proposals) to execution, including supplier management and providing technical solutions.

What you will do

  • To manage and coordinate the projects of the Castelgomberto Plant.
  • To ensure the correct development of the projects:
    • The required product specification and quality
    • The required capacity
    • Minimization of production costs
    • Secure facilities for people
    • The required hygienic standards
    • Minimum impact to the environment
    • Accomplishment of the defined deadlines
  • Managing the necessary documentation for CAPEX investment proposals (studies, offers, specifications).
  • Dealing with national and international external suppliers.
  • Follow-up of the projects and responsible for the implementation of projects
  • Actively participate in the design and execution phases of new projects.
  • Contribute to the design and innovation know-how of the plant.
  • Evaluating technical requests from the plant and proposing solutions.

Who we are looking for

  • Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar)
  • Proven experience in a technical management role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in engineering, maintenance, and project management
  • Experience in the food or pet food industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and preventive maintenance methods
  • Hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills
  • Focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Fluent in Italian and English
